Langley Hall
Langley Hall is a 16th-century fortified manor house that now lies in ruins approximately 2 miles southeast of the village centre. Langley was in the hands of the Scrope family from the 14th century until 1630. In the 17th century it passed to the family of the Marquis of Winchester, but it had fallen into ruin and was being used as a farm. Records show it was used as such until 1835.
According to Coxe, it is haunted by a phantom hearse drawn by headless horses with a headless coachman at the reigns.

It lies in the Craghead valley on the opposite side to Stanley.
